VTA BART SILICON VALLEY PHASE II EXTENSION PROJECT

The BSVII Project, led by VTA, is a six-mile expansion of BART service stretching from the current Berryessa/North San José station through downtown San José and ending in Santa Clara. This phase includes roughly five miles of underground tunneling, featuring three below-ground stations—28th Street/Little Portugal, Downtown San José, and Diridon—as well as a surface-level station in Santa Clara. The project also includes supporting maintenance facilities.
